uly 14, 2012. Getting there is easy: it’s close to BART and there’s also a parking garage across the street!
Enjoy inspired, Rhone-friendly foods from local artisans. Sample amazing Rhone wines from California, Oregon and beyond. Learn something new about Rhone varietals.
As a Rhone enthusiast, I am very excited about this new event. I don’t normally discuss my own small wine brand, Two Shepherds on Simple Hedonisms as I believe in separation, but I will share that Two Shepherds is pouring its new 2011 releases which include the Grenache Blanc recently featured in the San Francisco Chronicle by Jon Bonné. I will also be pouring barrel samples of the very limited release 2011 Russian River Valley Grenache and Syrah at the VIP Barrel tasting portion.

The Mint is a cool place to have an event. I am glad they are doing nice things there after having it being closed for so long.
I’d like to taste wines from “R&B Cellars”. I lived in Alameda (where they are located) for a few years and I’d be curious to see what they come up with.
Thanks!
sorry you didn’t win Randy, but if you wish to attend and buy the normal tickets, you can use code ‘VIP Flock” to get a free $20 upgrade to VIP.
Romancing the Rhones – pun fun. This one is easy — of course from that list Two Shepherds is my favorite and I’m very keen to try the ’11 Grenache Blanc. But otherwise… there are a number of names I’m interested to try. R2 de-tours to Grenache Blanc also. I “sher-wood” like to try Nottingham Cellars racy viognier, and RoxyAnn don’t have to put on the red / white for me to want to taste their portfolio (again particularly the viognier).
sorry you didn’t win Larry, but if you wish to attend and buy the normal tickets, you can use code ‘VIP Flock” to get a free $20 upgrade to VIP.
There are so many great wines/wineries, but my favorite from this list is Holly’s Hill Vineyards. I can’t pick just one of their wines – I like them all. The winery is a wonderful place to visit and taste in the foothills in Pleasant Valley. (Full disclosure, they did share this link with me.)
Since I am unfamiliar with many of the wineries on the list, I will say that I will be looking forward to trying Two Shepherds since I was referred to you by my favorite HH.
The name of the event is great and the location stellar!
look forward to seeing you there. Um, whats an HH?
sorry you didn’t win Anne, but if you wish to attend and buy the normal tickets, you can use code ‘VIP Flock” to get a free $20 upgrade to VIP.
My favorite winery from the list is Tercero. The wine I’m most eager to to Two Shepherds Grenache Blanc!
sorry you didn’t win Martin, but if you wish to attend and buy the normal tickets, you can use code ‘VIP Flock” to get a free $20 upgrade to VIP. You can likely still also register as media.
I’m looking forward to trying Cass winery’s wines. Haven’t tried their wines before. Thank you for a chance to win!
sorry you didn’t win Linda, but if you wish to attend and buy the normal tickets, you can use code ‘VIP Flock” to get a free $20 upgrade to VIP.
I’m really eager to try the Two Shepherds Grenache Blanc – especially after the wonderful write up it received in the Chron. I also want to learn more about the different wineries producing Rhone varietals. Thank you!
congrats Ali, by random number generator you win!
Wow! How exciting! I can’t wait to go. Thanks for putting on this contest.
I don’t believe I have tried any of these wineries I would be eager to try any of them just for the experience
sorry you didn’t win Jessica, but if you wish to attend and buy the normal tickets, you can use code ‘VIP Flock” to get a free $20 upgrade to VIP.
