Ok…I gotta say, saw Chris Isaak on there and had some serious flash backs to High School and my first girlfriend! I remember making a mix tape off the radio for her, sitting in the living room with headphones on waiting for the perfect songs to come on…and just when I thought I couldn’t find anything better…”Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak came on to finish off the mix tape. Ya…perfect.
The lyrics of John Hiatt’s can evoke so many memories and feelings. When I’m listening to his songs, I can suddenly be transported to an event or feeling that I had years ago.
Los Lobos is one of my all-time favorite bands – their vitality, harmonies, and authenticity has always captivated me. Also love their rockabilly renditions of La Bamba, Come on, Let’s Go and others. A live concert in the vineyards with Los Lobos would be high-energy, intimate and a great way to spend a summer evening!
Of course I also love Chris Isaak – saw him last in Hawaii where he rocked the house in a jacket constructed of silver metal tabs. I sat right near the stage and was knocked out by “newest” band member Hershel Yatovitz (turns out Hershel joined the band in 1995) …
….are you kidding?…. I have loved RS wines for many many years, and not only do they have a beautiful piece of heaven in wine country …. when you add all the wonderful artists that make up the RSV Concert Series, you can’t have a more fantastic time!!
I am a big fan of Rodney Strong wines and the concert series. I love all the wines, but usually drink the Sauvignon Blanc at the concerts. The last concert I went to was the Kenny Loggins one on June 5, 2010. I usually to a few each session. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, I prefer sitting on the lawn area close to the path in some shade so I get there around Noon to get a place in line. Cheers!

Rodney Strong Knotty Vine Zinfandel is super yummy! We did a tasting comparison of all available years at the winery, of course 2005 was my fave! Beautiful place too!
I ♥ Rodney Strong for supporting the arts in Sonoma County! That, and my buddy @joelhopland works there… Oh yeah, and that Chris Isaak fellow is not bad, either.
I have been to MANY, MANY music venues. And wineries. RSV is amongst my favorites. Went to H&O last summer there with my daughter, memorable!! If you take a great winery (and they’re green too!),their beautiful vineyard setting, add their nice wines, yummy foods, a really sweet intimate venue, fabulous artists, terrific weather, well, what more could you want? Just some friends to enjoy with! Jazz with Dave Koz, Jonathan Butler with Sheila E? Smoooth and sweeeeet!!!!!
Love the setting for these intimate concerts…just perfect out in the sun with friends…and the music lineup is always spectacular…
I LOVE RODNEY STRONG VINEYARDS!!! You have the best venue…not to mention…wine!!! One of my favorite concerts and times was being up close to Johnny Lang!!! WOW!!! I am a KRSH Fan too and they always keep me updated on what is going on in your wine world!!! Enjoy!!!
Los lobos is not a great latino band, they are great american ! john Hiatt is an amazing songsmith…

The views, the wine~ absolutely AMAZING!!! We just missed Kenny Loggins.. would have given anything to hear him and “Danger Zone” lol!!! This venue will be classic as well as even EPIC!!! Can’t even begin to imagine an afternoon with Los Lobos that view and great wine!!!
Love the wines, and the grounds; such a great venue; loved Pinot on the River last year hosted there; looking forward Los Lobos!
Beautiful location, gorgeous scenery, scrumptious wine, GREAT artists, what’s not to love?
What a wicked game to play, to make me feel this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to let me dream of you.
What a wicked thing to say, you never felt this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you and I don’t want to fall in love……;)
This is what Summer is all about. Being outside at a beautiful place surrounded by vineyards, Live Music, and Great wine! Can’t ask for much more except maybe that they will be pouring one of my favorites, Symmetry!!!
